The title of the thread is self explanatory. Add things here as you find them.

Here's a start:

I'm wondering the same thing. Also, are you referring to Ron or his son?

But if we don't secure the border, how will we keep the freedom in?

Paul (Rand or Ron) supporters are mostly "national sovereignty" people who believe in borders. National boundaries are anti-freedom, and that article was solid.

@ not you: "Left Market Anarchist" is what you call market anarchism if you're explaining it to a leftist. "Free Market Anarchism" is what you call it when explaining it to anyone else. It's just a "Market-ing" ploy.

Dear Paul supporters: The social contract is bullshit, and minarchy is still enslavement.

Thanks for your time.

I can't speak of the supporters of Ron, but he takes an expressly open immigration stance and for most of his career called boarder security a waste of resources.  Rand's stance on the issue is what alienated so many Ron supporters.

Hmm, I sort of agree with you, but Ron also talks about taking troops from Pakistan and putting them along our border. I think things like that may be what give people the impression that he's "not libertarian" in regard to immigration?

Are you sure? What about articles like so?

I agree, and it seems to be a very recent stance he has taken, kind of a plead to at least get them back in the USA.

Left anarchists still believe in the NAP, self-ownership, etc., but they want to use voluntary means to achieve traditional progressive goals, such as better working conditions, more fair distribution of wealth, etc.

In my opinion, they don't understand economics, but at least they're voluntarists.

I've seen that article before. I just went and reread most of it. I didn't see anything too objectionable. I disagree with the idea that "most" people don't want to work for someone else, but so what?
