Research Monsanto and not those that protest it. To say there is nothing wrong with Monsanto because hippies protest it is stupid and irresponsible. You just may gain an understanding of what hippies are able to comprehend. Perhaps not.

Your shoddily cloaked insults are getting old.

Terms like ‘stupid’ and ‘irresponsible,’ while not exactly complimentary, express specific concepts, rather than just being generic insults. The fact that you don’t like those qualities being identified doesn’t make them untrue.

Constructive criticism would help you more, as the insults are just inspiring me to ignore you.

Or maybe you don't want me to change, and just want to insult people.

I don't know, and I don't really care, I think.

EDIT: Moving this back towards the discussion at hand, after doing some reading the problem with Monsanto seems, to me at least, to stem more from the larger intellectual property issue than anything else (although there's definitely some court-rigging at hand, but that's just a given when it comes to corporations).

The rest of the arguments I'm seeing all seem to fall back on the 'organic is better' argument. Perhaps it is, but that seems to just call for statism in the opposite direction (i.e. towards giving 'organic' farmers monopolistic powers rather than non-'organic'), especially given that a large portion of the (non-anarchist) anti-monsanto camp wants GMO's to forcibly identified as such.

Although most libertarians obviously don't want that, I do think care should be taken to not get too comfortably bedded with the statists.

Moving this back towards the discussion at hand,

What is a "Seed Patent" and how many seed patents does Monsanto hold?
What does an "Indian Farmer" have to do with Monsanto?

What is:
PCB
AgentOrange
Phosphate
Aspartame
NutraSweet
Saccharin
Cyclamate
DDT
2,4,5-T
BGH
BST
Cycle-Safe
the Dekalb Genetics Corp.?
... list goes on seemingly forever.

But then, they also created phenol, urethane foam, AstroTurf, and acetylsalicyclic acid so I ask you, ask yourself, "are they really that bad?" Even with over 100 years of successful political fascism?

You can get to and from Monsanto through the revolving door.
