A friend of mine told me of how he had seen another friend on the slopes and admired his "Anarchist Backpack". One of the new lines of backwoods ski packs from Black Diamond.

I didn't even need to look at it once  you said the price.   But I did... and it's not even a good-looking backpack, IMO.

Try to suck a breathe out of your duffle-bag when you perhaps get buried under 4 feet of snow. The difference is life or death. And for those that know, this backpack kicks ass! Are there even any skiers here? Telemark, Boarder, anyone?

I live in CO. We have the best mountains in the country! I don't think people who don't ski/board get it, or perhaps they live in crappy ski areas. This backpack is sweet!
