Do you think that Stephan is feeling to make more and more outlandish statements in order to get viewers because his old shtick against the state has become old hat?

So, apparently this is from a 2006 podcast when he was still a nobody and he has since recanted these views. Very interesting to say the least.

Well he was correct about gays being neat, organized, and well dressed.

That's a false stereotype.

Faaaaaaaabulous!

Anyways @ Seth, I don't see anything wrong with a stereotype if it's meant non-mockingly; and, I mean, a lot of gays DO have style...

Most of the gays I've known had no style and were rather slob-like.

In my experience gays are no more or less likely to have style and be neat than are straights.

Its amusing. My cousin is a gay dude. He was always, as a child, feminine acting. And so, we all knew as we got older, that a "coming out" was on the way. He really didn't "choose" to be queer. It just is who he is. And we all knew it and accept it. The anti-gay shit that's seen nowadays is sometimes amusing, but mostly very disgusting and foolish. My queer cousin bleeds the same color as you, me, and everyone else. So to any anti-gay folk, FUCK RIGHT OFF, along with the FED.

I mean, it's not philosophy or liberty oriented but I didn't really hear anything outlandish. In my experience, every gay person I have known has been a little chemically imbalanced and had an array of other mental/emotional issues.

He was making blanket statements about gays based on his very limited empirical evidence. Sort of like when he said that all those who partake in martial arts were abused as children. Not very logical if you ask me.

Well, he was really just talking about his actual experience with gay roomies.  He implied that he was in no way surprised, so they were simply reinforcing the stereotype.  I don't think thats that same thing as saying all gays are that way.  For example, I would never be surprised if a hispanic person revealed to me that they had six siblings.  But I fully understand not every mexican family is big.

I was a little surprised that he theorized homosexuality might be linked to early sexual trauma.  I guess I can't say for sure that its not, but with the prevalence of sexual abuse in society(as Molyneaux points out so often), it would be hard to claim a direct correlation.  Shall I assume those are the musings he recanted?
