Hey I just came across on the facebook page "Fuck the Government" a particular photo that I thought was very funny. That aside, when I looked further I found the guy in the photo is one "Ron Swanson" a "staunch libertarian" character in the TV show "Parks and Recreation"....while the actor is very far from a an actual libertarian, and some of the noted ideals, and behaviors are not common among libertarians...it is funny. Such as describing his ideal government as "One guy who sits in a small room, at a desk, and the only thing he is allowed to decide is who to nuke." And how despite his dislike of the government he does have a job at city hall, though only so he can do his best to advocate for program cuts, and to intentionally hire people who are bad at their jobs (basically incompetent morons) to slow down the government (a stealth agorist perhaps Tongue )

In any case here is the photo I came across:

Well, that one quote from the early seasons is probably the most un-libertarian thing he's ever said.  But most of the other stuff is side-splitting hilarious.  You could just youtube Ron Swanson and get all the good stuff without the rest of the drivel.

Here's a quick sample:

Sadly, the actor himself participated in the "Demand A Plan" gun ban commercial.

I lost respect for each person present in that ad. Too much opportunism based on emotion. However some celebs that were not in the ad have occasionally made some surprising comments to the contrary:

He'd better be, considering the shooting range built into Brangelina's house in southern France.
