I'd have to say, though, that I am one of those people that does not like being solicited frequently, especially when I'm trying to relax on the beach.

The problem with the state is that when it controls land things suck either way. It sucks when they outlaw something, such as peddling, because it ruins it for the people that enjoy peddlers. But it also sucks if they don't do anything to stop the peddlers because then people like myself are hassled by solicitors.

Were the beaches privately owned, certain beaches may allow peddling, and others may not. Therefore, somebody like myself could go to certain beaches, and somebody like Jeff and Josh could go to others.

Large sections of the beaches are privately owned and only selected venders (like the ones selling cigars and food) are allowed to enter.

There were clear delineations around these areas and a very tranquil environment.
