 Thanks to pressure from organizations such as the EFF, the FAA has been forced to reveal the locations of spy drones flying in and around the United States. Interestingly enough, there are no drones flying over New Hampshire.

It's kind of funny this topic is being brought up; I actually just got back from the post office and walking back was thinking how easy it would be to privatize it. If the whole electrical engineering thing doesn't work out, maybe that'll be an option.

Actually I think Liberty Drones would be a great idea.

For example.  Police pulls over a car.  Driver does a porc411 for assistance.  Drone lifts off immediately from the nearest location and hovers on station, filming, recording, and uploading.
Cop does something bad and the world knows.

It would certainly be difficult for them to confiscate the footage.

However I could see them deploying jamming devices on cop cars.  Enough power and they could jam all communications, probably someone thinking about doing that now.. with the apps that'll stream your camera footage live to third party server.

Miniature SAM's mounted on the roof of patrol cars... ;-)..

This could be a very amusing arms race.

The problem with this, however, is that they won't know which cars are liberty activists and which aren't.  A cop car with a jamming device driving down the highway is going to cause all kinds of havoc; cell interruptions, wifi, satellite, cordless phones, etc depending on which bands they are targeting.

Not only that, but the cost of outfitting patrol cars with jamming equipment means they need humvees (where would they put a jamming device powerful enough on a cruiser?) and the gear itself would be more expense on an already fragile budget.  What would the payoff be?  Not having a cop be suspended with pay once in awhile for stepping over the line?

I hope that would not be the case.  I rather want to see cops plinking off cops as they fight over jurisdictional 'turf' when the monetary system implodes.

Direct resistance against the state only makes it stronger in the minds of its supporters; justification to stomp people's rights.  Redirected Resistance that exploits contradictions in statism (especially them using power in corrupt ways by setting up 'honey' traps for state officials) weakens the myth of state power.

If we want the state to go away, people have to stop believing in it.

I was imaging they turn this on when they pull someone over, not for general use.  It would also help shield them from reporters (at least those close).  We're not talking about military ECM here.  The tech is already readily available, compact and fairly cheap.

The amount of resources the state would have to expend to shoot down thousands of liberty drones would be too much, I hope. It's this sort of thing that gives me hope for the future.
