The genius of anarcho-children. My daughter (who is 9) says to me "Have the time of your life. Its the only time you have left." Just thought it was too good not to share. More importantly, I think it shows a level of understanding I did not give her credit for. Has anyone had the momentary experience of a childs, beyond their years understanding of philosophy or life?

New visits are great. Its seem that more and more people today know that something is wrong. It is good news that a growing percentage know where to find the cure.

You would have thought I just said I was going to bomb an orphanage or something by the look on his face
Thats because most people confuse anarchy with chaos. Anarchy is true freedom. What you do with it is another story.

Patience, my friend.
Yeah, what he said. Go slow.
In the early days and months of my coming out of the anarchic closet my over zalous presentation cost me many friends also.
Seperating someone from their belief in the State as an evil nessesity or even a net benefit, is tantamount to seperating a christian from God. Belief in the State or God hinge on the idea that ones life is subservient to, and ruled by another. There is a great deal of commitment involved in turning control of yourself to someone else.
The majority of both beliefs come from one of two sources. Either it was taught at an early age, blindly accepted and never questioned. This is the hardest group, in my opinion, to crack. Having never questioned their own beliefs, another doing it for them will likely terrify and bring out hostility as a defense.
The other group are those who have analyzed their beliefs and have made the best judgement with the evidence at hand. This group is a more rational and curious set of people. They are more likely to hear evidence. They are also more likely to make thier own decisions. So let them come to their own conclusions.
Either way, beliefs are immortal. You cannot slay anothers demons. He/she must abandon them of their own freewill.
As helio said, find the common ground. A topic they are more interested in will be processed more thouroghly. And be patient. It took you some time too, didnt it?

I can only afford to do one at the moment. =)
Do you have an analysis with a cost per? If one or more others chipped in what would be needed and would this interest you?

Both is the best answer. Variety is the spice of...everything.

I would like to film it, however he will be off duty and at that time a private citizen. If he would consent to filming I think that would help me, yet I think he would be far more receptive and candid off camera.

25  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Suggestions on questions to ask a Prosecuting Attorney in class on: October 10, 2011, 07:35:54 PM
Ask him if when your court docket reads, City of "X" vs Agorist or State of "X" vs Agorist, how does one get to face his accuser? The city or state does not itself show up, it is represented by proxy, by the judge and prosecutor. Both are unelected and fully unaccountable to the ones they are in the process of destroying. The defendent must appear and may not send someone else in his stead. How is the state allowed to operate above the law, or at least on a seperate set of books from those it purports to rule.

29  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Responses to the use of 9/11 to justify the military on: October 03, 2011, 09:32:54 PM
The best reason not to have a standing army is, if you have one and no reason to use it, a reason will need to be, and will be, made to justify its continued existence. By their natures, a militia is defensive and a standing army will become increasingly offensive, resulting in a self destructive empire.
30  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Anarchist society already exist? on: September 23, 2011, 11:35:33 PM
Anarchy can be defined one of two ways. A lack of a political leader, with or without chaos. We have no political leader, but instead bought and paid for politicians without any interest in the citizenery. This delivers anarchy with chaos. A chaos driven and perpetrated by those "in charge". We live under the divine right of the gun. When the N.A.P. is the dominant philosophy we may have our anarchy, sans chaos.
