I just think that minarchism is one more step on the way to anarchism.  It's a lot easier to "convert" a minarchist than a nanny-statist so I try to be nice to them and nudge them along.

Brad's great.  My favorite MHD interview though, was the one with Charles 'RadGeek' Johnson.

Yeah, I don't see how it would be a major problem.  We could still have Jerry Springer-esque programs in a free society and they will need their material.

Honestly, I don't think that voluntarily selling one's self into slavery is slavery at all but, rather, a long term contract.  If one leaves the long term contract then it goes to an arbitrator an some sort of restitution is probably paid to the would-be employer.

Just the other day I had a long argument with some people regarding Block's comments that it would be legal to "sell one's self into slavery" in a post-state libertarian society.

Totally.

They typically refer to him as a vulgar libertarian.

The Mutualists and those types tend to really dislike him as well.

You may also want to check out the eBook below from Tarrin Lupo of Low Country Liberty Report.  It's called How to Make a Living Outside the System: a Practical Guide to Starting a Black Market Business.  I have downloaded the .pdf file but not yet read it.

So many libertarians hate Walter Block and that's a real shame as he is so entertaining.  One of my favorites.

Konkin was said to be writing a book called Counter-Economics. But that was nearly thirty years ago. Of course, he is deceased now, but is there anybody else picking up the slack? That one website makes it look like it is soon to be coming out.

I've been hearing Koman is going to publish Counter-Economics for some time but I'm not holding my breath.  You may want to check out Paladin Press for "getting around the system" stuff but I can't vouch for any of that.  Your local "spy shop" will have some interesting reading, too.  There used to be a similar publisher called Loompanics but they are no longer in business.  You may have some luck searching for them on eBay, though.

Mike Gogulski has done some audio versions of Agorist stuff and has them on his website below, great for downloading and listening to them on road trips.

He also has a lot of Carson's Mutualist/Non-propertarian stuff which I'm not into, but whatever.

You may also want to read (fiction) Alongside Night by J. Neil Schulman.  I see it for $1.25 at used bookstore all the time in the science fiction section.

I have recently noticed an increase in the usage of a particular line of reasoning that I find to be a gross misrepresentation of true agorist theory, and quite frankly, a cop-out on the part of those who use it. That is, "don't let the good be the enemy of perfection."

Yeah, what's the deal with that?  I've seen and heard that line more in the last three months than I had in the other 38.5 years of my life.  By a factor of mucho.

Howdy.  Interesting site.  I love the Agorist, counter-economic lean to it.

I've been on some sites where people with paid memberships have larger Avatars where as free members get smaller avatars.  Could in be some setting in the membership privileges area or something like that?

Check your PMs, Seth.
