^What, in your opinion, would be the best way for Google to use Bitcoin to their advantage?

Seriously, this is going to be awesome. Jeffrey is on the verge of something big here. I've already donated Bitcoin to the fundraising campaign.

I wouldn't mind a Bitcoin trading platform. Love myself a little monetary diversification.
35  General Category / General Discussion / You guys are gonna hate me for saying this... on: January 14, 2014, 06:08:44 PM
Alright. I know I'm gonna regret announcing this to you guys because of a slight shit storm, but here it goes: I'm running for Congress! OK. Before you guys go ape shit on me, give me a chance to explain myself. I am, in my state, a registered libertarian, and I'm friends (and an intern) with the higher-ups in the LP of my state. Well, last week, one of the guys on the excom board contacted me via Facebook and asked me if I would like to fill the vacancy for LP ticket in my assembly district. Now, take into account, I have absolutely zero experience with Congress. I've never run before in my life. I have zero skills in campaigning. In fact, I pretty much have a snowball's chance in hell of actually winning (you know how many votes 3rd party candidates get). Still, I'm doing this for three reasons:

1. The experience

2. The Networking

3. Putting myself out there

I have to have my paperwork filed by March in order to run. I have some idea of what my platform will be (i.e. Bitcoin will be in it!), but other than that, but other than, I really won't have that much to do. So, yeah, I'm running for Congress. Smiley If you want a campaign button, let me know now so I can put one on pre-order for you. Cheesy

^Yeah, they said that were having some issues getting the stream set up.

Honestly, this sounds like an amazing idea. An online liberty city is exactly what we need to develop and grow with one another. I'm going to donate Bitcoins to the Indie-Go-Go campaign. If you donate @25.00 worth, you'll get three months of free access to the site.
38  General Category / Bitcoin / Anyone else having Coinbase issues? on: December 18, 2013, 09:08:42 PM
Hey guys,

Hoping one of you can help me. Over the past week, I've noticed that Coinbase has been having issues with transactions. Whenever I try to send Bitcoins to an external wallet and/or third party, I get an E-mail from CB the next day telling me that the money could not be sent out and has been returned to my account. What makes me feel bad is that I used Bitcoin to pay for a dinner meal a few nights ago, and I now realize that the money may have never made it to their wallet. Does anyone know why this is happening? Is Coinbase having issues with their servers?
39  General Category / General Discussion / Jeffery Tucker's Liberty.me on: December 16, 2013, 11:25:14 PM

So, it looks like Jeffery Tucker is starting his own social media network. Not much is known about this project as of now. The concept seems unique, and the idea of a publishing company on top of it intrigues me greatly.

 Hi Wendy!

I plan on starting an article today about the conference. I'll have it sent out soon.
41  General Category / Bitcoin / Re: KryptoKit: BTC wallet plugin for Google Chrome on: December 10, 2013, 07:17:26 PM
Really? I use Chromium for my Ubuntu distro, and it's one of the most reliable browsers that I've ever come across.
42  General Category / Bitcoin / KryptoKit: BTC wallet plugin for Google Chrome on: December 10, 2013, 06:53:33 PM

Remember when I talked about Dark Wallet, the BTC plugin being overseen by Cody WIlson? Well, it looks like someone beat him to the punch. Say hello to KryptoKit, an easy-to-use wallet that acts as a plugin for Chrome and its Linux counterpart. Simply install it, open the app up, and run your mouse in it, when you do, Kit will generate a personal wallet key for you. What's great is that the app allows you to encrypt personal messages using PGP. Smiley

I was introduced to the app during Inside Bitcoin today. I already have it installed. Download today!

If you're looking for the former, I'd recommend www.coinbase.com
45  General Category / Bitcoin / Re: Well, it looks like China's little announcement did have some side effects on: December 07, 2013, 01:54:43 AM
People need to remember that BTC is still new to the market. Things like this are bound to happen. One thing that needs to happen, in my opinion, is that Gox needs to have its good assets sold off to Coinbase or BitStamp and then go under. The market has no place for it anymore.
