Your most important weapon is your mind.
2  Questions And Challenges / Questions About Anarcho-Capitalism / Re: Intellectual Property Rights on: May 16, 2012, 11:23:49 AM
I'd say IP comes down to a fight between physical property, as in I write a copyrighted book on my own paper. IP can't really be stolen since the maker of the idea will still have the idea after it gets "stolen", so I'd say physical property that can actually get stolen trumps IP any day.

Thanks for the help Seth and braindead!

Hey Seth I'm a newb like Distruzio and have a question.
I have a relative who has a laptop which runs Windows 7 and the computer has been having problems with the blue screen of death and viruses, but she can still browse the web some. Do you think she could download linux and ditch windows 7 along with all the problems she's been having?
5  Questions And Challenges / Questions About Anarcho-Capitalism / Re: education, workers and scientists on: May 08, 2012, 12:28:43 PM
Machines will replace workers!
6  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Things DailyAnarchist.com should sell... on: May 01, 2012, 11:12:18 PM
I think bumper stickers would be a good idea if they had a link to Daily Anarchist on them. They are good conversation starters and would be good for advertising Daily Anarchist.
7  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Pre-Social Security retirement on: May 01, 2012, 11:07:09 PM
I've had an argument with my parents over social security before. I asked them why they supported social security when people could just save money for themselves.
They responded that most people are too stupid to save for themselves and that there would be a bunch of poor old people, so everyone should be forced to pay into social security.
I then try talking about private charities being able to help those in need, and my parents usually tell me to be quiet, pretty funny.

Is the FBI omnipresent or something?
9  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Anarcho-capitalist chic? on: April 29, 2012, 12:32:15 AM
If I wanted to identify myself as an ancap through physical appearance I'd color my hair half yellow and half black.
10  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Converting USD (cash) to BTC and back to USD, anonymously? on: April 27, 2012, 11:02:44 AM
BTC and cash could be traded through the mail, although that's not too anonymous.

I went on an Easter egg hunt.
12  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Coalitions, violence, political parties, and the potential of this website on: April 03, 2012, 12:50:07 AM
I'd agree with Seth in saying the numbers aren't there.
Best thing you could probably do with really low numbers is some vigilante work and guerrilla fighting.

I think when I got that junk a few years back there was something about fines or possibly jail time, but I might be mistaken.

This is likely the fear-mongering other slaves tell each other to stay in line. I used to believe it myself. Not sure I do anymore.

When researching this I remember reading the "if prosecuted and convicted you could face up to 5 years in prison or a fine $250,000". I'm pretty sure the only time they might prosecute someone is if the person talks to a newspaper or something and says they're not registering in civil disobedience.
14  General Category / General Discussion / Re: Voting I should care about on: March 24, 2012, 03:27:59 PM
My parents live in a small town with a homeowners association and don't like it at all. They hate the fee they have to pay and said if they had the chance to they never would have moved there.

The only real costs for not registering are that you will not be able to get a federal job(haha) or get student financial aid from the gov. Not that bad at all.
