^ I'm confused, that wasn't quite a yes or no question. Were you saying yes to corporation's priority being profit or the environment?

Corporations would not exist as they require government to grant them special rights other businesses do not enjoy.

Someone once told me that I was "Slapping them around with my words". I wonder if the military boys ever feel this way when protesters chant and hold signs.. Doubt it.

Replace Rand Paul with Politicians... And government condoms would also fail...

If you break it down to most people..they would agree that we have the moral high ground. They really dont care though. They have a reasonably easy life that they arent going to risk for liberty. My father agrees with everything I believe in but he has children and a wife that he is not willing to put into jeopardy for his beliefs. This is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome. If it was everyman for himself then it would be more realistic to separate from the state

It's a nasty conjoined twin Monkey. I paid a Rat a quarter to gnaw mine off, now I can be a man for myself.
38  General Category / General Discussion / Why Libertarianism Is So Dangerous on: April 22, 2013, 05:21:15 PM
A former libertarian abandons his dream of a voluntary world and explains the potential worse case scenario after the overnight disappearance of government.  Wink

I ask them still, do they vote? Then I explain how the effect is their responsibility; delegating a 'right' they do not have themselves, to a criminal gang. For they will vote for whatever they are told, until they break out of their mold. And they walk around beleiving they are not gullible to peer-pressure.

I think they can still afford to be ignorant and until they are robbed of that convenience...

"Paid" implies a voluntary transaction.

I didn't "pay" for a goddamn thing.

But yeah, thanks for posting the videos.   I can't say that I "like" them, but that's kinda the whole point.

It is meant to imply it is voluntary and by not paying we prove this.
Thank you for demonstrating personal responsibility and also exampling that you have empathy.

No I've never heard of that. What is it?

For us, it was what determined if we got our ass kicked or not. You learn to have a fucking strong-ass arm when being questioned. But then, people in this town beat their kids to death with spatulas. Our mother used big wooden spoons, which usually broke.

You don't listen to Rush oooorgle?

So when I think of Rush, I also think of Air Supply, I don't know why, and when I think of Air Supply it brings up one specific memory.

I heard rush on the radio but I never gave attention to music and certainly not lyrics back then, I was reared very Mormon... You know, that alternate reality where "Air Supply" is devil music, and "Hee-Haw" is a spankin-good time. I remember dear Daddy breaking older brothers Air Supply Vinyl and ranting blah blah satani-lyrical-blasphemorous insanity, then making us all watch a Billy Joel concert while attempting to explain how the lyrics break up families. Typical Family-Home-Evening at our Mo-house.

Ever heard of "Pinocchio's Arm"? I DO NOT recommend it as a tool to determine if your children are lying to you. You will fuck them up. One of a few bizarre rituals practiced at our 'loving' home...

Equality requires Tyranny
(The Trees by Rush)

Nice! I liked it! Thanks.

There is unrest in the forest,
There is trouble with the trees,
For the maples want more sunlight
And the oaks ignore their pleas.

The trouble with the maples,
(And they're quite convinced they're right)
They say the oaks are just too lofty
And they grab up all the light.
But the oaks can't help their feelings
If they like the way they're made.
And they wonder why the maples
Can't be happy in their shade.

There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads

So the maples formed a union
And demanded equal rights.
"The oaks are just too greedy;
We will make them give us light."
Now there's no more oak oppression,
For they passed a noble law,
And the trees are all kept equal
By hatchet, axe, and saw.

The Iraq war, 10 years and still running... Most Americans know nothing of what has and continues to transpire on their behalf. I wish them a glimpse into what they do not want to see; What they have paid $ for.
