That's right! The SPLC!

Just when I thought these assholes couldn't spew more senseless dribble, they're able to pull off a magic trick.

Well, they put the Ron Paul people on the turrist list years ago.  They must have shit their collective pants when they found out there' s a movement advocating NO government at all.

When you find someone that gives them credit, you know to stay far away from that person.

I am interested to see how they try to turn the word "voluntary" into a bad thing in the Zombie minds. You know we were never raised on the word Anarchy, but voluntary was well, defined more-so as obedience than true voluntary action but... Watch out because it's going to take a new leap of faith for people to buy it, and the Zombie hordes will jump.

Next they will put you on there for holding a sign that says "Love".

Did you read the original?

http://www.splcenter.org/blog/2012/12/12/anarcho-capitalists-seen-as-cousins-of-the-patriot-movement/

Quote
Often described as “anarcho-capitalists” or “voluntaryists,” their belief in essence is that government — any government — is by its very nature tyrannical and unnatural. They propose instead an essentially stateless society in which all relationships, economic and otherwise, are voluntary and untaxed. Services like roads and mail delivery would be built and maintained by private entities that would charge market-based fees for those who desired to use them. Government in any recognizable form simply would not exist.

But that's it. The SPLC then goes off ranting and raving against "crazy" extremists, using especially guilt by association, without even trying to use logic, reason, or example, to prove the positions wrong.

Quote
Translation: Confederate partisans — people whose “ethical values and economic interests” included buying, selling, beating, raping and killing other human beings whose skin color happened to be different from their own — were unjustly stopped by overweening federal power that was built into the Constitution from Day One as part of a long-acting stealth coup to steal power from the states.

I find it fascinating that they included some of Doug Casey's actual words, because they're perfectly reasonable words, but then add this "translation" in order to change those words into hate speech.

The only hate speech is coming from the SPLC.

"Did you read the original?"

Yeah and it was a good description for coming from those guys. I assume they will refine their language and attempt another go at it. I am interested to see what it is.

What I find interesting about these people is that they make attempts to link us with patriots groups that support unfettered beliefs in nationalism. Are they even aware that voluntaryists do not believe in nationalism because of its connection to a centralized control scheme?

I don't even...I.............ugh...

Do they even realize that 90% of us are uncomfortable with the idea of any kind of violence when it comes to the overthrow of the State?

I wonder if that's actually true maybe we should poll the site.

I'd disagree...most people already think that Anarchism = Chaos, and that all anarchists are a cadre of brick-throwing freedom-hating terrorists.

^Ditto. Popular culture has twisted the definition of an individual that is stateless. Ask any American what a stateless individual is, and they'll generally give explanation of a young, angry teenager dressed in black and throwing Molotov cocktails all over the place.

On the other hand, this could, to a certain degree, work toward our benefit. If more people are exposed to the idea of voluntaryism, they may be more engaged and research it.

What can we say? Any group with a non-Liberal bent is defined as a hate group by their standards.

To be honest, I am surprised that we caught their attention (for what exactly?) but their reaction to our viewpoints is not surprising at all.

The guilt by association was a little cheap though.
