Make a list of all of the things you think Daily Anarchist needs improving upon.

Hmm...

1. A larger community
2. Education based items on An-cap (For a New Liberty) in the bookstore

Can't really think of anything else.

I don't really see any reason to sell For A New liberty in the store section, because I've already linked to where it can be viewed online for free as well as purchased online.  Undecided

^Good point, Seth. Well, aside from the former suggestion before it, I can't think of anything else
that has an inherent flaw here. You've done better than most individuals that seek to create a website for themselves.

I think, that other than what Anarcho/Infowarrior stated, the only thing I could think of would be something that EddyK mentioned in another thread IIRC....setting up an IRC server or voice chat server for the forum....of course in the case of IRC it would probably be better to simply register a channel with an existing server. I would recommend either Rizon or Anarplex

Software would have to be FOSS. Recommendations? I'm really not sure there are enough of us to make it worth while. What would be the point of it?

You don't need a lot of people to create a stimulating discussion, Seth. I think the threads that people create here at DA is proof of that.

True, but being able to come and go at will helps. Having us all in at the same time would be difficult, plus, there is linking to interesting articles and videos.

Unfortunately, I don't really understand the technology or the potential, so I'm speaking from ignorance here.

I have considered setting up an IRC channel and may very well do so in the future.

Okay I just installed Mumble which is a FOSS voice chat software. I'll test it out and tell you if it's any good

I'd definitely would take part in an irc or voice chat. I don't post too much but I have come to the forum pretty much every day just to read since I found it.

Mumble IS good. I've been using it in online games for a few years now. You need a lot of bandwith to host a mumble server though. I don't know how much Seth has. Do you have unlimited/unmetered bandwith on your VPS? What is the up/down speed? I'm currently running a mumble server for about 20 people and it eats bandwith. I can easily host most though, I'm not nearly at full capacity. It doesn't take much memory or cpu, mainly bandwith.

I could consider hosting a second virtual server for the daily anarchist community, if there is enough interest in such a thing, in fact I've already been messing with setting up a virtual server. I do have some more ideas for improving the community, I will work those out later today in a post.
