There have always been people who defy gender norms. Late-19th-century medical literature described female “inverts” as appallingly straightforward, with a “dislike and sometimes incapacity for needlework” and “an inclination and taste for the sciences”; male inverts were “entirely averse to outdoor games.” By the mid-20th century, doctors were trying “corrective therapy” to extinguish atypical gender behaviors. . .

A long article, but interesting. Credit to the parents who go through so much hardship to make their kids happy.

Gender-behaviour is a societal construct nothing more. In other words it's bullshit people are individuals.

These are some of the things I do:

1. Cook
2. Clean
3. Make Lotion
4. Make Soap
5. Love plants
6. Hate Neon Pink
7. Love shooting and martial arts
8. When I was younger I learned to sew, and from time to time sew patches onto my clothes (my skills are lacking)
9. Oh and sometimes when I get emotional I cry...

What am I? Male or Female? Go!

My embroidery isn't great either, but I can do it.

I've often wondered at this "sewing is for girls" thing, isn't "tailor" usually used to describe a male?

Yeah me too. I do what needs to be done, it ain't gonna do itself. This certain jobs are for women idea is utter nonsense. I mean given today's technology id est Formula and Test tubes child rearing isn't exclusively female...
