I click the "replies to your posts" first.
I didn't even know such a thing existed. Where is it?

It's near the top of the screen. IT's between the "Daily Anarchist Forum" Title and the "home, messages, profile" menu. It's next t where your picture would be if you had one. Above it is "show unread posts since last visit" the exact wording on it is "show new replies to your posts" it is a link.
Oh of course. Inside the header that I've had collapsed since forever.

Because it hasn't happened yet.

I have no idea why this shouldn't be a perfectly good answer.

Because the guy who wrote the question wrote a much longer and smarter-sounding answer.

I've only recently discovered this forum but I quickly applied the same method I use when reading other forums: I click the "Show unread posts since last visit" and get all posts that I haven't read.

I read A Brief History of Time, but it has been a long time.  Yes, Hawking does a good bit explaining what he meant by the question, but the simple answer still seems good if all you want is a brief answer.  Of course, if you want to know why cause-and-effect happen in that order, and why we experience them the way we do, that seems to border on metaphsyics, and I'm not sure if science can truly answer them.
