Notice in that picture Robin Hood is taking the money without permission. One could feasibly confuse that quote with, say, the M.I.C. taking money from the state. Difference is the M.I.C. gives weapons to the state in return. So, my attitude is any money you can take from the state that doesn't come with giving something in return is good.

Difference is the M.I.C. gives weapons to the state in return. So, my attitude is any money you can take from the state that doesn't come with giving something in return is good.

I don't either, but thought it would be funny to ask.

But you do raise a good point. There is at least one other thread around here where we've had a similar discussion. The idea is that even if you don't give up your proverbial soul, you still risk losing your aversion to the state. All of a sudden you dislike it a little bit less. It's hard to not be affected by getting free stuff. You're playing games with a dangerous enemy.
