Too bad. It was bound to happen though.

No, no, no, no, no, no. I repeat: NO! Dr. Paul is not out of the game yet. Here's what's happening: Dr. Paul will no longer seek activity in primary states. This means no campaigning, no ads, etc. He's focusing all of his efforts on the delegate strategy. He is still in the race.

Hate to say it man, but your kidding yourself. Even though your right with that, him not campaigning in these primaries will kill his chance.

As soon as this came out, I was sure there would be Paul-supporter conspiracies as to the "real" cause. The most interesting one I've heard so far is that Bernanke threatened his grandchildren.

^I hadn't heard about that. O.o

I do recognize that Dr. Paul's chances could be damaged by this. However, what you have to remember is that the popular polls in primaries don't mean anything. Look at what happened in Maine for instance. From what I've read over at Lew's site, Dr. Paul has a pretty strong following in California, so his chances may not be as damaged as you may think. Also, I'm sure he has a pretty strong fan base in Texas, his home state. Dr. Paul still has a lot going for him. Don't count the old guy out yet.

Great article from Infowars on what's really happening with the campaign:

I never really dared to hope that Ron Paul would win the nomination of the GOP. Then it looked like he might do OK in the early going until political shenanigans stopped the "big mo". Then lately it looked good due to the delegate strategy. With the press out to protect the bi-partisan consensus on the status quo (welfare-warfare forever), the GOP leadership against freedom, and the people all "educated" in government worship factories it never looked real good.

But the campaign last time and this time has done wonders for spreading the message of liberty to those who run in fear from any type of libertarian: anarchists especially. We have to continue to support the message of freedom and liberty to the young. Like in the 1700s with the Classic Liberal ideology, we can win the hearts and minds. Then we prevail. (I'll most likely not be around by the time the young win but I am still rooting for you)

If Ron Paul continues to pile on delegates to Tampa and if Ron Paul gets a prime time speech, it could be electrifying. Don't think so? Look up the "Cross of Gold" speech and how it turned the Democratic party around. No one doubts that speech was one of the most effective in all of political history. Google it.

SO BRAVE.

Personally I could care less about what any politician is up to, pseudo-libertarian or otherwise.

EXACTLY!
He voted for the AUMF (the blueprint for the NDAA), supports sodomy laws, believes in marriage discrimination, and much, much more. He has nothing to do with any kind of libertarianism except for state's liberty to wage tyranny
