anarchist video game

I'm 15 I play video games, I think that a video game with anarchist messages could do allot to spread the message to my generation, anyone with programming skills who wants to help say so please.

This is a long term, down the road goal of mine. Now that I'm in NH, meeting some like-minded developers and graphic artists would be awesome. A game studio that cranks out liberty-minded games would indeed be a great way to spread the message.

You don't really need programming skills, you need game scripting skills using one of the many pre-built game engines. Unless you've got some really good idea that can't be achieved with an existing game engine.. then you'll need programmers with the skills to build a new game engine or extend an existing one.
The toughest part (IMO) is the writing, plot, characters...etc.. If you've got a solid idea, I'd start searching the open source games engines.

I'd like some help with writing it, whats a good libertarian message for a video game? Maybe you could be a member of the Indonesian land reclamation movement, trying to take back land stolen by the Indonesian government and the US army.

Scripting without good programming practices and knowledge will produce a bad product unless it is very simple.
Scripting is programming so if you are just tinkering with code other people wrote without understanding it then you will fail.
Best place to start is learning how to mod already existing games that people already like to play rather than trying to build something yourself from scratch.

As a video gamer myself, I can tell you that there are a lot of liberty minded games out there already. Bioshock is probably the best example. I'm referring to the first one, not the second one, which is more collectivist minded. Half-Life 2 and Deus Ex also have messages of liberty vs. tyranny, so you may want to check those out as well.

I like fallout 1/2 for total freedom in how you handle things.. I've played fallout 2 trying to conform to NAP, however there are some real dilemmas in there... ;-)

I had an idea, a war in a world of basic concepts, a war between freedom and control, with ideas being the weapons, you are a soldier for freedom, very open world, you can go the entire game without firing a shot, with puzzles, games contests and conversion of your enemies. My idea is that as control takes over an area it becomes grey and dull, but underneath is chaos, in the areas of freedom its vibrant, loud but has a peaceful order through it all.

I suggest you just start learning about programming languages and coding in general. Khan academy and MIT opencourseware could help you out. Stanford University's CSCI department also does free online courses open to the public you should look out for. The latest set started running at the end of April, but keep your eyes open for the next wave.

Half-life 2 and Unreal are moddable. Google Half-life 2 modding and that should get you started.
I want to make a grand strategy game. You play as either a state or a protection agency. You are surrounded by both states and areas where protection agencies operate. The goal is to get statists who play strategy games to begin to think about the possibility of other ways of providing for what the state 'allegedly' does best.
Steal this idea and make it already. I wanna play....

A friend of mine and I have looked into video game production a few times. It is a tremendous undertaking, especially if you're trying to go it alone or with a small "shop" of two or three people. It can certainly be done, and you don't even have to have the best graphics if the storyline and concept are stellar. Notice I said "stellar" and not just "good". Unfortunately, you don't get to decide what's "stellar"... the market does, AFTER you've done all the work.
Anyway, as a person who looked down that road and decided not to follow it, my advice is to do a lot of research first. Figure out what your part is going to be in this production (programming, writing, graphics, everything), and read some of the books out there on it. Whatever your part(s) is/are going to be, you need to be good it. "Good" implies something higher than amateur level. You don't have to be a programmer, but obviously some programming needs to be done, so expect to pay or otherwise seduce whatever talent you don't possess yourself.
You'll need to bring something to the table besides a good idea. There are millions of good ideas. If you aren't going to do the technical stuff, then you need to be able to take your idea and turn it into a proper game design document (look it up). Doing this is akin to writing a novel or a screenplay... only much more detailed. I described it as an "insane" level of detail. If the idea is compelling enough to hold your interest through that process, then you might just be on to something.
I'm not trying to discourage you or anyone else; I'm just pointing out what might not be obvious. If you've got the patience and resources (TIME being the most important one) then go for it. I would love to see a person or group of people put together a liberty-themed game. I might even contribute some creativity! My skills as a coder are strictly amateur, though.

Video games are largely hit-based. That's the real problem for commercialization. People care less about features that we would naturally think of (graphics, plot), and much more about whether playing this game will give them something to talk about with their friends or not. If it's not a hit game, then they don't care. Obviously this isn't always true, but it is for a good chunk of people who "game." I say this as a non-gamer, so discount it as much as you want.
