Can't find any of the topics he posted. Weird.

His username doesn't appear in the member's list so I would assume so.

That's lame. I kind of had respect for him. Not a lot of mainstreamers would show their faces on a site like this.

Agreed. As a very young person too, there was great potential for conversion.

No, it was JustSayNoToStatism. He played a prank trying to show people how ludicrous faith based arguments are. I'm not mad at him for doing it, but I definitely don't want spam accounts littering the forum. I deleted the posts and replies to the posts.

Lol! A friend and I suspected it was a griefing account.

Really? It definitely wasn't spam. It was a creative way of illustrating the point I kept making but was being ignored. It's a shame you didn't keep it around long enough for people to get to read the ending. It ended exactly as I had it planned. People got irritated at the fact that Conservative Republican wouldn't make any arguments and dodged those thrown at him. Conservative Republican got criticized by religious people for having blind faith in government. Surprise! Statism and religion are both faith. As a theist, no one can criticize statists for ignoring our arguments since that would be holding them to a higher standard than yourself. That's the point. I can't believe of all the things you won't erase off the forum you decide to axe this???

Edit: I'm honestly stunned right now. I make a damn good argument, then I find a crafty way of illustrating the validity of my point, and that gets removed? There are people on here threatening violence, and that gets to stay? wtf?

Edit Edit: Is this some sort of joke/prank to get back at me, and you'll restore the posts later? If so it's working. I don't believe this.

It was deceptive. Also, it goaded other forum members into responding even after you had come out of the closet so to speak.

When I created this site I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to get people to participate. Tons of websites recommended creating a bunch of fake accounts and getting them all chatting with one another to make the forum look busy and popular, so as to invite further participation. I never went that route. I decided, instead, to let things happen organically, even if it was at a snail's pace.

I'm sure, over time, we'll get plenty of neo-conservative/religious/republicans coming in here to question/berate/troll us. We don't need to preempt them with deception. I think it discredits the forum to curious outsiders.

I'm willing to admit I could be wrong, though. Perhaps I overreacted. But I don't think so.

Although I enjoy reading over past conversations in order to freshen up my thoughts on a particular subject, I take no issue with your actions Seth and no issue with the false account. Even though I can't read over those conversations anymore, I agree we'll have plenty of opportunity to hash it over with statists soon enough.

I think pretty much everybody JSNTS intended to use the ploy on can read this thread and get the point. But there would have been plenty of future readers who wouldn't have gotten the "Gotcha!" topic and would have continued thinking conservativerepublican was a real person. That's what I find most disturbing.

He is a real person (just not the particular one posting here). There are millions like him. That's the disturbing part.

Meh I think JSNTS point was good and his way of demonstrating it was pretty good. I don't know what was so bad about it, that it got deleted? If it wasn't a fake account would it have been deleted? If not then I don't see the point of deleting the fake one... The posts are going to be the same when a real idiot comes along too.

>_>

I ascertained some trollishness in this "republican's" behaviour, for sure.
