i switched over to ubuntu 12.04 recently and im trying to figure out PGP gnupg encryption. i got it all down on creating them and exporting but i have one question. how do i IMPORT the public keys using seahorse(passwords and keys).

Im really new to all this and have very limited knowledge of computers.

so for instance the DailyAnarchist's key

--Begin public key block---
Blah blah blah
blah blah blah
blah blah blah
--End public key block--

do i copy and save in file? i tried that but when i try to import it says invalid file format. can i only create .asc files in the terminal?

Yes, copy and paste everything from my key into a text editor. Save it as .asc. Then import.

Yeah, I don't know what Seahorse is. I just use the generic Password and Keys that comes with Ubuntu. I have no idea why your text editor won't allow you to save as .asc. Maybe it's not a clickable option, but you should at least be able to manually write in DAPublicKey.asc when saving.
