In some ways, you could take this as a good thing. If the Feds are willing to do something this drastic, it could be a sign that they're afraid of the growing momentum to end the Federal Reserve system.

I have a young kid at home. Growing up in my house he'll hopefully be exposed to a completely different way of thinking. I'm hoping it will help him to disrupt classes and courses like this by offering contrary opinion. A student that disagrees with a teacher often gains the ear of students around him.

Well, in my school, they showed us a video about how perfect Keynesian economics is and how it, along with globalization, can save the world. Fucking propaganda. Luckily I don't think the southern US will accept this. God bless the conservatives.

I like globalization. Division of labor increases productivity.

I agree. What do you think of trade with countries that use slave labor?

Globalization reduces freedom, increases centralized government, and generally erodes economic liberty. Borders are important, and countries are important. Having one big supernation would suck.

I agree. What do you think of trade with countries that use slave labor? No one really trades with countries. If you dig down to the micro level, I'd say I don't want to trade with any business or individual that uses slave labor.

The fact that borders are eroding is necessary for freedom, specifically free international trade. Borders are important alright, important that we abolish them. It does not follow that we need to have a supranational government succeed them. Market anarchism ftw.

The USA has something closer to the standard definition of slave labor as well. Many prisons are privately owned and operated, and they hire the inmates to do things like build solar panels. They pay them below legal wages. Of course that is probably more than they use to get on a chain gang, or making license plates.
