I don't know why I still tune in to CNN every night there is an election. But I'll tell ya, I am so glad I no longer participate in the charade called "voting."

Ron Paul is getting butchered again. No surprise there.

I mention this because around now the Paulites are starting to grumble to themselves and are probably getting pretty depressed that all hope is lost. I'm sure the one remaining hope of many of them is that he will run third party. Once he says he will not run third party, or once he loses the election as an independent, I will reach out to the minarchists again.

Once the Paulites have lost all hope of Ron Paul ever becoming President I will advertise Daily Anarchist on Daily Paul and LRC again. We're going to be getting A LOT of visitors just LOOKING for something to put their hopes in. Of course, we know anarcho-capitalism is where it's at and we will be welcoming them with open arms.

What I need though is to have a lot of quality content to publish on the front page when the newbies visit. So, just keep that in mind. If you've got some good content in your brain be prepared to write it out and get it published here. Also, the annual donation drive is around August. Any donations we can get will greatly help us pay for advertising and content.

Just a heads up.

Looking forward to the donation drive. I hope to have enough extra money to donate and help out. I can't tell you how grateful I am for DA, the forum alone has helped me transform from a Libertarian to a full fledged anarchist. Thank you, Seth/DA community.

Seth,

You say you want a revolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well, you know
We all want to change the world
(Beatles; "Revolution")

We need more than anything to capture those who are "small government" live-and-let-live men and women. They are wrong about government, but I was just as wrong once upon a time. Even Rothbard once hoped to forge an alliance with "the new left" back in the 60s. That project did not lead to nirvana, but we should take a clue from that and build on whatever common ground we can find with people who think they are "leftists", "conservatives", "moderates", "realists" or what have you.

Good luck with your endeavors in this coming year.  (hmmmm, that would have sounded better back in January!)

Seth, thank you for DA. I used to stop by just for the articles but since there have been so few lately Sad, I decided to check out the forum. I am now learning at a much faster pace and hope to some day start writing and contributing my own articles.

I've thought of something similar Seth. There will be a huge influx of disenchanted freedom-seekers once Ron Paul ends his political career. This will be an immense opportunity to attract many of them towards anarcho-capitalism.

Paulites could very well become the basis of a strong agorist movement. I was thinking of developping an agorist social network type of community which would be used as a tool to organize agorist means.

I was hoping to move to NH in the next couple years, but who knows if that'll happen.

I hope to be back on my feet financially in a month so I can start contributing again.  Just started a new IT job with a fuel wholesaler here in North Dakota.  Gonna get to learn some Linux and do some more php too so looking forward to that. Hopefully, I'll get some time to write some articles that will satiate the Paulian's anger and resentment for their guy being treated so crudely.  Their anger will be strong.

I haven't been paying attention lately. Has he lost any shot at the party nomination yet? If not, I expect it's fast approaching.

That whole delegate/surprise them at the convention bullshit keeps them hanging on. When that flops they'll hope for independent run. When BO gets re-elected THEN they'll start thinking about anarcho-capitalism.

I am starting to get the desperation discussions with pseudo an-caps who are still holding on to the Paul dream. They know it's slipping and are getting very testy about it (I've been applying the same philosophical "pokes" to them over the last few moths so I could gauge the change in their reaction as reality sets in).

Reminds me of the first time round when people were saying the world was going to end if he didn't win. I manned a table in the university campus center and people in the 40+ age bracket who would come by in support just sounded pathetically desperate and laid out this whole Jonesian scenario of how we would be hauled off some time in 2009 unless Ron Paul could save us. 4 years later, I'm richer, happier, and have had more sex. These things may be related to becoming an-cap after the failed run.

Yeah I think you should be seeing an increase in traffic after the election or even the nomination. For me there's just no other politician like Dr. Paul so I'm participating but after this I see no reason to participate in or care at all about politics.

Since there really are only so many things that can be said before you are just repeating yourself, you might want to recycle articles you have written in the past, perhaps with links to forum threads tossed in them to keep them reading.
