Passwords and keys doesn't have a clipboard option used to encrypt text like in GnuPrivacy Assistant. And apparently GPA isnt available for Ubuntu 12.4 (correct me if im wrong but i couldnt figure it out.) So if you would like to encrypt text for forum posts or messages its real simple.
1.Create Key in Passwords and Keys
2.Download Geany text editor
3. Install add-on GeanyPG (PG plugin for geany)
4. Highlight text and go to tools/GeanyPG/encrypt
Ultra simple!

Nice! I usually just use Evolution's auto encrypt, but if that's not the case I use the command line. But that sounds like a nice GUI. Yeah, GPA got lost around the time Unity showed up, I believe.
